SOLVENTLESS HASH OIL

Solventless hash can come in many different forms and can be produced with many different methods.

One of the biggest differences between hash and concentrate, is that hash is typically produced by carefully isolating/collecting resin heads from the trichomes, rather than concentrating every oil from the entire flower. Hash production is a delicate process that requires meticulous attention to detail and a conscious awareness of the quality of the resin on the flower in use. Not every strain produces premium hash, which is another driving factor that makes hash production such an artisanal process. So, when you find premium hash, know that the starting material was purposefully selected by a grower and then carefully processed by hand.

SKöRD specifically produces solventless ice/water hash rosin, which is a labor-intensive technique for isolating/collecting resin heads by hand-washing the raw material with ice and water inside micron bags that separate the fine resin heads by their size/quality. After freeze drying the material to remove any moisture, the ice/water hash is then pressed between heated plates to produce a beautiful resin sap. After the washing and pressing process, the resin sap is placed in a mason jar, and begins to undergo a week+ long curing process (every strain is different) where the sap naturally begins to soften, budder up, and excrete terpenes, giving it a badder-like consistency with a powerful terpene profile. Our SHö typically tests between 5-9% total terpenes.

*Note: At the moment, our team only produces cured, whipped badder, meaning our hash undergoes the curing process in-house. We do this to ensure consistent quality with all of our small-batch drops, but look forward to offering other forms of hash after our expansion, such as fresh press, different microns, and full-melt.

CORE LINEUP

Given that not every strain will wash the same and tester strains are always a gamble, a strain has to make it to the core lineup for us to wash it more than one time. Once a pheno hunt has narrowed the selection down to a single plant, we run one final test to make sure the strain will check all of our quality boxes. If it checks out, the strain is finally graduated to our core lineup, where we will run the genetics and continue to dial it in for the next 6-12 months.

RESERVE LABEL

The Reserve label is meant for only the most premium batches, marked by their unique final composition, and/or rarity in the market. Cannabis harvests are akin to wine vintages, in the sense that while every harvest is mostly consistent, there are always small subtleties that can really make one batch stand out from the next. Our Reserve SHö batches are made with Tester or Reserve strains, and placed in specialty light-dep packaging to preserve terpene content. Since tester strains are always a gamble and Reserve strains are rare on their own, Reserve SHö is released in incredibly small batch sizes, typically with less than 150 units on the market at a time. If you can get your hands on a gram of SKöRD Reserve SHö, know that you are one of very few across the entire state that got to experience it.
